Oscar Szablowski – Drums

$45/half-hour, $65/45 minutes, $80/hour

Oscar Szablowski has over a decade of experience practicing drums and exploring rhythm. He has experience in many genres, but is most devoted to progressive and death metal. He started his first band in grade 4, and now is found in many up-and-coming Toronto metal groups. Most notable was his playing with Ethereal Tomb on their tour with The Cancer Bats in 2025.

He was introduced to teaching through his long time teacher Philip Elliott, given the opportunity to take on Phil’s students while he was away on tour. From this starting point, he gained experience teaching students of many different ages and skill levels. He is capable of teaching complex rhythmic theory as well as the physical training often required for drumming.

Oscar has the youthful energy of someone in love with drums, and he is committed to nurturing his students’ love for their chosen instrument.
