Policies and Procedures

At Forte, we believe that our teachers are the best in the business. That is why we allow them to set their own rates, curriculum and policies. To ensure a professional learning environment, our guidelines are comparable to those of a private studio or school. Although some details may vary between instructors, the terms below are the minimum standards set by our employees:

• 24-hour advance cancellation notice for all lessons that are missed. Some exceptions may be granted for sudden illness, at the discretion of the teacher.
• Make-up lessons may be granted for a missed class, dependent upon teacher availability. At most, one (1) make-up will be offered per two-month period and must be taken within 30 days of the cancelled lesson. Alternatively, a credit may be offered in certain circumstances if a make-up lesson can not be arranged.
• Payment: it is strongly recommended that lessons are purchased in advance for each month or semester (3 month period). This ensures a steady timeslot for families, consistent schedules for teachers, and greater convenience for parents – no need to find a chequebook or remember to send an e-transfer each week!
